Best catfish on North Alabama

Good fried catfish, BBQ and pie. The hushpuppies are great too! The serving size is extremely generous.

The food was not very tasty and the items limited. The outdoor service was excellent.

Some of the best BBQ you will find. Service is good and they have a well stocked salad bar. One of my favorite places to go.

After two visits we have sampled several dishes and everything has been excellent. My wife was raised locally and declares the hush puppies the best she has had. Mayo cole slaw is very tasty. Excellent fish, chicken, pork and beef - all reasonably priced.

Fish was poor quality and was cooked in old grease not a raving fan.

Great atmosphere, love the food, not a lot of places to sit. They have a big room in the back that I believe is reversed for really big groups. The food is definately worth the wait for a seat.

We had a party of 6 tried the burgers and fish everything was so good and are waitress was so sweet.

Good food can't go wrong

Food was excellent! 9oz Ribeye was very tender and full of flavor and I believe was bigger than 9oz. Price was good at 11.50 for the steak dinner. Smoked catfish was also excellent but not at as good as the steak. The one critique I would make would be the service wasn’t great(not bad either). We felt rushed to order and she could have done better about telling us about the salad bar and desserts. She was still cordial kept drinks filled and delivered the food hot. All in all the food was great and service was pretty good. I highly recommend eating here.

Walked in expecting a great meal. We were told to seat ourselves. We sat there 10 minutes, no menu was ever brought to us, no drink order taken, no server acknowledged us. We were even there sitting at a table next to the cash register. The girl at the cash register walked right by us never offering us a menu. We will not be back. #didntfeellikefamily

Enjoyed the visit.

Visited on a Friday night. Service was extremely slow, almost an hour before receiving our food. The smoked catfish was delicious, BBQ and ribs were good, hush puppies just okay. The food is worth the visit, maybe on a night that is not so busy. The woman who seemed to be in charge was extremely helpful and was the reason we finally got our food, the younger girls were sweet but not very attentive.

Long time patron of the restaurant for over twenty years, and yes they do have great food, but my Friday night experience was absolutely awful, date night for me and my wife and a chance to get a break from a colicky infant, we sat at 6:45 pm and ordered a meal of smoked chicken and hamburger steak, an hour and 15 minutes later after being served only sweet tea and hush puppies (they were good at least). After we noticed people and parties of four who arrived later than us were being served up dishes that take much longer to prepare (in example, fried whole catfish)we just got up and left, but not before the waitress had the audacity to ask us if we wanted our order to go...We were on a motorcycle; no that will not do...Just an awful experience, but the good news is that we made it to a certain seafood restaurant in Anderson, Al just in time and got served our food promptly to understanding owners and excellent waitresses.

Food and service were both fantastic! The best steak and catfish we've had in a while. We will definitely be back!

The food was delicious, although I thought the reference to cheese on the Ronnie boy special would be something other than a slice of American cheese. The hamburger steak was juicy and very flavorful. The staff was friendly and the service was great. They recently added a salad bar here and it is definitely a nice addition to the menu. Definitely would recommend for casual family dining.

We’ve been coming here occasionally for years; love the catfish and smoked chicken. Low rating this visit due to cleanliness; carpeted floor had a lot of crumbs and trash, small plastic cups with what appeared to be bug repellent visible in all the windows. Food was good, service is friendly, but very disappointed in cleanliness.

We had fast service, and delicious hot food. The owner was circulating making sure everyone was enjoying their food. Our waitress was friendly and never let our drinks go dry. Everyone in the wait staff was helping each other- I love to see that when I go out. Whoever grilled the shrimp, you are an expert! My loaded potato was so delicious, and I will come back for the hot mustard slaw!

Fish was great. It was worth the 20 minute drive. Fries too greasy. Baked beans were good. I definitely will go back .

Very friendly staff and great service but the food was .. not great. Visited with my parents and the catfish tasted dirty/muddy along with the shrimp :( great hush puppies though! I hope next time we visit it’s better ;;

The food and service was great here. We had the combination dinner which had a selection of ribs, pulled pork, and catfish. All were excellent and so was the smoked chicken.

Was really good. I remember coming here with my Grandparents and other family members all the time. Plus the white sauce and hush puppies where great really missed those.

Bad service ask that a plate be taken off the bill because it wasn't worth eating much less paying for still got charged food was not worth the $61 I paid for overall not worth going back i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with taste buds poor quality all around I get better service at a fast food joint I'm very disappointed my expectations was high for this place seeing how full the parking lot is normally what a fail

Me and wife loved the fried catfish and trimmings. Also the coconut pie was excellent. Courteous and prompt service. I've been before and will hope to go back in near future...

Our food was cold. Our hushpuppies were over cooked.The coke tasted like the taps hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The staff was friendly.

Good limited menu, very old South entrees, but well done.
